This Refund and Cancellation Policy ("Policy") applies to all subscriptions to the Metadapi API services ("Services") operated by Fast Data Solutions Corp. ("Metadapi", "we", "us", or "our") available at metadapi.com. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to this Policy. This Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
1. Free Trial
We offer a free trial / free tier so you can evaluate the Services before paying.
- The free trial does not require a payment method and does not automatically convert to a paid subscription.
- You will never be charged at the end of a free trial.
- To access a paid plan, you must explicitly select and subscribe to a paid tier. No charge occurs unless you take this affirmative step.
2. Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal
Paid subscriptions are offered on monthly and annual billing cycles (annual plans are offered at a discount).
- All paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) using your payment method on file, at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel.
- The applicable price, billing cycle, and renewal terms are disclosed to you at the point of subscription, before your billing information is collected.
- We will charge the payment method on file on each renewal date. Where required by law or your card network, we will provide advance notice of upcoming renewals.
You may cancel at any time (see Section 3).
3. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account:
- Sign in to your Metadapi account and use the subscription management / cancellation option in your account profile, or submit the cancellation form available on our website.
- Cancellation stops future automatic renewals. It does not retroactively refund amounts already charged for the current billing period.
Effect of cancellation:
- When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for. You retain access to the Services, up to your plan's usage limits, until that paid period ends.
- At the end of the current paid period, your subscription will not renew, and paid access will end.
4. Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. Specifically:
- Current period is non-refundable. When you cancel, fees already paid for the current monthly or annual period are not refunded and are not prorated. You keep access through the end of that period.
- Annual plans. Annual subscription fees are not refunded for unused months. Access continues until the end of the annual term, after which the subscription does not renew unless you have re-subscribed.
- Usage-based fees. Our plans are usage-based with a hard stop when your plan limit is reached; we do not bill overage charges. Fees paid for your plan are not refundable based on unused usage allowance.
Discretionary refunds
At our sole discretion, we may issue a refund or credit in limited circumstances, including:
- A verified billing error on our part (for example, you were charged the wrong amount or charged after a valid cancellation took effect).
- A duplicate or accidental charge.
- A documented, sustained failure of the Services attributable to us, where required by our Terms of Service or any applicable service-level commitment.
To request a discretionary refund, contact support@metadapi.com within [30] days of the charge with your account details and a description of the issue. Approval of any discretionary refund does not obligate us to grant refunds in other cases.
5. Usage Limits
Each paid plan includes a defined usage allowance. When you reach your plan limit, requests are subject to a hard stop and further usage is not permitted until your next billing cycle or until you upgrade. We do not currently bill overage charges for usage beyond your plan limit. (We may introduce optional overage or higher-tier plans in the future; any such terms will be disclosed at the time they are offered.)
6. Price Changes
We may change subscription prices. Any price change will apply to your next renewal, and we will provide notice before the change takes effect as required by applicable law. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before your next renewal.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer. We will work with you to resolve verified billing errors promptly. Initiating a chargeback for charges that are valid under this Policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.
8. Additional Rights for Consumers (EU, UK, and Other Jurisdictions)
The Services are intended for business and developer use. However, if you subscribe as a consumer (an individual acting outside your trade, business, or profession) and you are located in a jurisdiction that grants statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights, those rights apply in addition to this Policy and are not waived by it.
- EU/UK consumers generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services.
- Because the Services are supplied digitally and access begins immediately, you may be asked at checkout to expressly consent to immediate supply and to acknowledge that you lose your 14-day withdrawal right once supply begins. Where you have given that consent and supply has begun, the statutory withdrawal right no longer applies.
- Nothing in this Policy limits any non-waivable statutory consumer right.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law and will apply to renewals occurring after the change takes effect.
